Bologna's two synagogues can be visited by appointment only, accompanied by a guide from the Kehillah.

Tours are conducted in Italian, English and French.

Approximately one hour, for both synagogues.

Tours are suspended during Jewish holidays and their eves: the dates can be found in the holiday calendar.
Who can book

Groups and visitors
Groups of at least five people, from Monday to Thursday and on Sunday. The suggested donation is seven euros per person.

Schools
Classes of ten to twenty students, from Monday to Thursday. The suggested donation is five euros per student. Teachers can find reading materials below to help prepare their pupils.
Donations can be given directly to the guide at the end of the tour, or paid via the Donations page.

Write to the coordinator
Bookings are made by email only: write to the guided tours team stating how many people are in your group — or how many students and what year they are in —, the language you would prefer for the tour, and two or three possible dates.

Wait for confirmation
We will reply with the agreed day and time. Until then, the tour is not confirmed.

Send a document
For security reasons, you will be asked to provide a photograph of an identity document or passport for each participant.

The Ghetto and the Jewish Museum
Tours of the former Ghetto and the Jewish Museum are not organised by the Kehillah: these are handled by the Jewish Museum of Bologna, whom you should contact directly to book.
