Translation
Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our G-d. The Lord is One.
Blessed be His glorious name for ever and ever.
And you shall love the Lord your G-d with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might. And you shall put these words which I (i.e. G-d) command you
today, upon your heart, and you shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your arm, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes, and you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates (of the cities).
And it shall come to pass, if you hearken diligently to My commandments which I command you this day, to love your G-d and to serve Him with all your heart, with all your soul and
with all your might, that I will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your corn, your wine and
your oil, and I will give grass in your fields for your cattle, that you may eat and be full.
Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; and then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you, and He shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and you perish quickly from off the good land which the Lord gives you. Therefore shall you lay up these My words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall teach them your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house, and upon your gates. That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the Lord swore unto your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a cord of blue. And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them; and that you go not about after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go astray. That you may remember and do all My commandments, and be holy unto your G-d. I am the Lord your G-d, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your G-d: I am the Lord your G-d.
