Presentation of the proceedings of the conference "Italian Jews in the Great War (1915-1918)" and of the portal "www.storiaememoriadibologna.it".
Italian Jews in the Great War (1915-1918) collects the papers from the conference organised by the MEB on 11 November 2015 to celebrate the Centenary of the Great War. The initiative aimed to contribute to deepening the study of a historical event that was interpreted by the majority of Italian Jews as the opportunity to complete the emancipation process that began in the Napoleonic era and was carried forward with the Risorgimento. The portal www.storiaememoriadibologna.it, created and curated by the Museo civico del Risorgimento in Bologna, gives a voice to the protagonists of the history of Bologna and its territory through a series of scenarios that offer historical and artistic information, biographies, events, works, multimedia content, etc. Papers by Vincenza Maugeri, director of the Museo Ebraico di Bologna, Alberto Cavaglion, University of Florence, Francesca Sofia, University of Bologna, Mirtide Gavelli, Museo civico del Risorgimento di Bologna.
