The Jewish Community of Bologna remembers Gastone Cipolli z.l. with a garden in Israel.
Mr Cipolli, together with his wife Lea, was close to our Community for many years, attending and participating in our most important events. His great interest in Jewish culture and tradition had led him to search in various places for antique Jewish ritual objects, which over the years he gathered into his own private collection. Among all the items found there was also the imposing and important Aron haKodesh, which we see in the small Synagogue, which the Cipolli couple donated to the Community in 2004.
